Orlando Health Home Health/ Visiting Nurse Association

Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is a licensed, non-profit, home health care agency. Through VNA, residents of Central Florida have been receiving quality nursing and rehabilitative services in the privacy of their own home since 1951.

Combined with the strength and reputation of Orlando Health, VNA continually strives to provide patients with quality, cost effective home healthcare services.  VNA works with the Physician to develop an individualized treatment plan to help achieve the home care goals.  These services may be covered by Medicare or other insurance providers.

Skilled Nursing

Our experienced, highly trained and licensed nurses provide:
  • Assessment and observation for changes in medical condition
  • Education about medications and disease management
  • Medication administration and supervision
  • Treatments and dressing changes
  • IV nursing
  • Nutritional support
  • Wound and ostomy care
  • Diabetes education
  • Mental health nursing
  • Oncology, end of life care
  • Telemonitoring 

Rehabilitation Services

  • Physical Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Lymphadema

 

Home Health Aides

During the time skilled services are provided, home health aides can assist with health-related services such as:
  • Bathing / Hygiene
  • Skin care
  • Dressing
Medicare will provide for a home health aide if you also need skilled nursing care or physical therapy.

Medical Social Services

  • Educate and refer to community resources
  • Crisis intervention
  • Consultations and Counseling services

Spiritual Care Service

  • Interfaith support
  • Liaison with community clergy
  • Compassionate listener
  • Assist with coping skills of patient and family

Private Duty Services

RN’s and LPN’s are licensed and background screened.  Home health aides can assist with health related services such as:
  • Companion service
  • Bathing / Hygiene
  • Skin care
  • Dressing
  • Meal preparation
  • Assist with eating
  • Light housekeeping
  • Patient's laundry
  • Exercise and walking
  • Respite care

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Long term and/or short term contracts.
