Clerkships are four weeks in length with clinical learning experiences that are structured to allow for institutional academic elective credit to be assigned if desired. The medical center is institutionally affiliated with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine,  Florida State University College of Medicine, University of Florida College of Medicine, University of South Florida College of Medicine and is a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges, Council of Teaching Hospitals and the Association for Hospital Medical Education. Fully-accredited residency programs are sponsored in emergency medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, pathology, pediatrics, and general surgery. In addition, fully-accredited fellowship programs are sponsored in colon rectal surgery, critical care medicine, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and surgical critical care.
