Pediatrci sports medicine fellowship at orlando healthOrlando Health/Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children provides a comprehensive Pediatric Sports Medicine Program designed to serve Central Florida’s growing number of young athletes. Through a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, rehabilitation, education and prevention of athletic injuries, our team helps children with a variety of medical conditions so they can safely participate in activities and sports.

Our team of specialists represents many medical fields, including:

Dr. Jay Albright, orthopedics and sports medicine in Orlando, with student gymnastWe are proud to offer a 1 year ACGME accredited Pediatric Sports Medicine Fellowship accepting one fellow per year.  We accept applications from Peds, IM/Peds, IM, and ER residents during their last year of residency.  The fellowship begins July 1 and ends June 30 of the following year.  At the end of the fellowship year, the fellow will be eligible to sit for the Primary Care Sports Medicine CAQ that is given annually in July.  If you are interested in applying to our program, the following documents need to be submitted for review by 10/1/12: 

  1. Primary care sports medicine fellowship application
  2. Current CV
  3. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation (1 being from your program director)
  4. Official Medical School transcript
  5. Official USMLE/COMLEX transcripts
  6. Copy of medical school diploma
  7. ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
  8. Personal statement 
  9. Current medical license

Applications are reviewed as they are received.  Interviews will be offered by 10/15/12 and will be conducted at the end of October/beginning of November.  We participate in the NRMP to match our fellow.
