  • Orthopaedic Residents spend the majority of their time at ORMC and Arnold Palmer Hospital. They also rotate through:
    • Community Physicians at other local hospitals
    • All of the call responsibilities are at the ORMC campus

Salary rates for residents are reassessed every year. To date, each annual evaluation has resulted in a salary increase. For 2011, salaries are:

  • Educational Funding/Books
    • Annual Florida Keys Musculoskeletal Oncology Meeting for designated residents
    • Additional funding is provided for regional and national conferences when a resident presents original research.
    • PGY1 residents attend an AO Basic Fracture Course
    • Program may assist residents in obtaining funds to attend conferences according to the following schedule: PGY2/3 – 1 per yr, PGY4/5 – 2 per year
    • Subscription to Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and JAAOS
