As a competitive gymnast and student of world religions, Kali's journey began long before she found her yoga practice. Destiny lead her to the mat, and her first yoga class in Atlanta, circa 1993, landmarked the beginning of her lifelong path to practice and to teach her greatest passion - yoga. Practicing for nearly 20 years, Kali studied a vast array of yoga disciplines including Hatha, Vinyasa, yoga for kids, prenatal and postpartum yoga, Piyo, and most importantly – her lineage - Kali Natha Yoga. Well steeped in the roots of Kali Natha Yoga, she invites her classes to open the breath of the heart and flow in the mystical dance. While Kali savors the physical practice and enjoys exploring the depths of each asana series, she takes time to focus on the stillness and that sense of lightness that is obtained through meditation. Leading the physical journey to final relaxation, or as Kali has coined the phrase ‘destination savasana,’ she shares aromatherapy and creative visualization to support the process of going deeper within and further beyond.
